Romain takes a look back at his accident and injury last night aboard Fortinet – Best Western on Retour à la base. He continues on his way to the finish line, which he expects to cross at around 1 p.m.

Cape Finisterre is always full of surprises, and once again Romain and Fortinet – Best Western pass through in rough conditions. Then there’s the Bay of Biscay to cross before reaching the Bay of Lorient. ETA around midday on Monday, December 11.

It’s daybreak for Romain aboard Fortinet – Best Western and the wind is back in the area. He’s taking advantage of these good sailing conditions to make headway on the “Retour à la base” route. A gust of wind is expected this evening for our engaging skipper.

It’s not always easy to stay focused and manage to get out of a windless zone when your rivals are sailing at 20 knots ahead of you.

When a cargo ship gets in your way on Retour à la base, you have to slow down, let it pass and going back faster!
