Vendée Globe 2024 – saturday january 11

Bad surprise this morning aboard Fortinet – Best Western. I couldn’t lower my big gennaker—it’s impossible to unhook the sail, and it’s stuck at the top of the mast.

I had to put on my harness and climb up to try to fix the issue, but so far, no luck.

In the meantime, I’ve hoisted the J0 to keep moving forward. I’m planning to take advantage of the next calm zone, in about two days, to probably climb back up the mast and find a solution
