Get ready for the season 2024 !

This year will be Romain’s third time on the Vendée Globe, the legendary sailing race round the world solo, non-stop and without assistance. A year that will conclude a 4-year preparation cycle, which began in 2021 with the purchase of a foiler.

Over the course of the last three years, Romain got to learn his new boat, taking the start of ten races on the IMOCA circuit, including two Transat Jacques Vabre and one Route du Rhum, finishing in the top 10 eight times. This is a remarkable consistency, especially as he faces stiff competition from the latest generation of boats. Thanks to the hard work of his team, he now has the feeling that he knows his IMOCA FortinetBest Western very well, which is a godsend for this ambitious and sporting 2024 season. He will be lining up at the start of the Vendée Globe on November 10, with the clear ambition of finishing in the top 10.

The whole year will be focused on this objective, and the program will be very full:

Boat launch mid-April
New York – Vendée, last qualifying race for the Vendée Globe, start from New York on May 29 for an expected arrival in Les Sables d’Olonne between June 6 and 9.
Summer refit
Boat launch at the end of August
Défi Azimut in Lorient from September 10 to 15
Vendée Globe race village opens on October 19
