Valentin Walle, from all-rounder to master electrologist on the IMOCA Fortinet – Best Western.

If you come across one of our preparers with a headlamp on, chances are it’s Valentin. He never takes it off, even during his lunch break.

Valentin is one of those people who can do everything with his hands. As proof, when he joined the team in 2021 as a multi-skilled preparer, he took the electronic file head-on, training himself over the months. Today, he has fully mastered the subject and was able to manage the complete refit of the on-board electronics system.

Jovial by nature, he always has a smile on his face when he arrives in the morning. A little secret: Valentin works with music and claims to put on a random playlist… yet we often hear beautiful romantic ballads coming from inside the boat.
