The team is happy to welcome Adrien Bernard, who takes the role of boat captain in place of Evan Panard, who wanted to get closer to his relatives in Saint-Malo. Evan will continue to follow his seamanship files and intervene several days a month on the project.

Born in Bordeaux, Adrien learn sailing on the Arcachon basin. He then made his debut in offshore racing during the 2019 Mini Transat, where, in addition off his project, he prepared the boats of some competitors. After his return, he joined the Maître Coq team and participated in the victorious Vendée Globe campaign. In 2022, he moved to Lorient and joined the Arkéa Paprec team, where he supervised the construction of the latest IMOCA. This year, he is taking the role of boat captain for the FortinetBest Western monohull alongside Romain.

I have always heard positive things about Romain’s project, as a team where there is a great atmosphere! I’m delighted to now be a part of it.
