It’s daybreak for Romain aboard Fortinet – Best Western and the wind is back in the area. He’s taking advantage of these good sailing conditions to make headway on the “Retour à la base” route. A gust of wind is expected this evening for our engaging skipper.

It’s not always easy to stay focused and manage to get out of a windless zone when your rivals are sailing at 20 knots ahead of you.

When a cargo ship gets in your way on Retour à la base, you have to slow down, let it pass and going back faster!

It’s going very fast onboard Fortinet – Best Western on the Retour à la Base race!!! Question of the day : do we jibe in order to find strong winds but rough sea ? Stay tuned !
